The exhibition, which was declared the world’s best by the European museums Industry, highlights a thousand years of scientific, technological and cultural achievements from the seventh century onwards, a period known as the “Golden Age of Muslim Civilisation” stretching from Spain to China.

Exhibitions produced by 1001 Inventions have received more than six million visitors at blockbuster residencies in cities around the world breaking visitor number records in London, New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Doha, Abu Dhabi Istanbul, Jeddah, Dhahran, Hassa, Kula Lumpur, Sharjah, Karlstad, Riyadh, Rotterdam and Kuwait.

Ahmed Salim, Producer and Director of 1001 Inventions, said:

We are amazed by the success of 1001 Inventions in Bahrain. We’re particularly pleased to note that this exhibition, as part of the wider Zidni Elman, has been one of the most popular educational exhibitions launched in Bahrain in recent years, and the independent research demonstrates that 1001 Inventions had engendered pride and enthusiasm in the hidden history of scientific excellence in Muslim Civilisation… Much of the success is down to the excellent work that the teams of the Ministry of Education and Zedni Elman Exhibition have done in launching a high profile campaign, a fantastic schools outreach programme and providing world-class environment to host the exhibition.

1001 Inventions productions highlight the role of men and women of different faiths and cultures that worked together in Muslim Civilisation, building upon the knowledge of ancients civilisations, and helping to make breakthroughs that have left their mark our lives today.

1001 Inventions is a British-based educational organisation that produces engaging science experiences and productions that highlight one thousand years of underappreciated achievements by inspirational men and women who helped lay the foundations of our modern world.

1001 Inventions is currently welcoming visitors to exhibitions in Slovenia and Malaysia.
