Ahmed Salim, Producer and Director of 1001 Inventions, said:

We are delighted to join the World Bank’s Global Partnership for Youth in Development. 1001 Inventions educational campaigns aim to inspire young people to be inquisitive and curious and to rise up to global challenges and lead positive change towards a sustainable future. The fascinating achievements of men and women, of different faiths and cultures, who lived during the golden age of Muslim civilisation, which stretched from Spain to China, offer motivating narratives to engage youth in development while highlighting the importance of intercultural dialogue and social cohesion.”

The World Bank Group (WBG) and its Global Partnership for Youth in Development organised the Global Youth Forum in Washington, D.C. on June 13-15, 2016. More than 150 partners and representatives from the public and private sectors, civil society, and young people participated at the Forum to learn new ideas, and to support the actions of the global community. The forum is designed around open discussions, based on evidence and experience, of the most effective ways to address the major challenges facing young people.
